X230T touch screen not working

Hi all,
I bought a used ThinkPad X230T running on Windows 10, and as I was not familiar with tablet laptops prior to this, I didn't think to test all features before buying. Basically, everything works right except for the touch screen. I couldn't test it right away as the guy didn't have the pen to go with the laptop, I had to buy one separately.

Device manager doesn't recognize it at all and no drivers I found online fix the problem either. Are there any other fixes I should try before deciding it's a hardware issue?

I would suggest booting to Linux via a disc or USB drive so you don't have to install it. That should give you a clue as to whether it's the software or hardware.

Did you get the right touch pen with P/N or FRU 04W1477 ?

It doesn't require the pen to work.
