Does the W541 accept an mPCIe-to-USB adapter?

Yeah, does the Thinkpad W541 accept an mPCIe-to-USB adapter and can I install one along with a Wi-Fi card?

W541 has an mpcie whitelist that’s annoying to remove, I would be wary it applies to the wwan slot. There’s also an issue of physical clearance. On my p71 i could not fit a USB adapter, but an SDXC adapter was low profile enough to fit, but it could not be fully tightened down.
