Annoying touchpad issue

I have an issue with the touchpad on my W530 where the pointer won't move until I wait a couple of seconds, and it happens pretty frequently. And I finally figured out how to reproduce it:
- if I touch the touchpad with two fingers and slide them left or right, then without releasing the touchpad keep just one finger touching it, my pointer is frozen
I know it's in scrolling mode, but apparently this touch combination happens really often with me, by accident, at least 20 times a day. It's super frustrating. Even when consciously try to change the way I touch it this combination gets triggered accidentally.
I'm using UltraNav on Windows 10, I can't see a version number but the most recent date in the "patent notices" section is 2018.
Do other people get this behavior too?
And I don't imagine anyone has a fix other than disabling two fingered scrolling (which I use and love for vertical scrolling).
