Thinkpad L540 - A couple of questions?

Hi,

in the past ThinkPads have had whitelist in bios for different parts, and even had their own special parts which could only be used on certain models.

Before I buy an Universal Second Hdd caddy I want to ask if the ThinkPad L540 has any restrictions, or I can use any brand second hdd 9.5mm Caddy?

Also before, some ThinkPads could have a battery in the Ultrabay instead of the Dvd drive, is this possible on the L540?

Does the L540 have whitelist for batteries?

Has anyone managed to use custom bios with this model, and if yes, then how and which bios.

My L540 is running good, I am just curious to what I can tinker in the future

You can buy any caddy (that fits), no Ultrabay battery, no battery whitelist.
No idea about custom BIOS.
