USB memory stick

Hello group. I have a USB stick that when I connect to my MIIX520 I hear the connection sound but I do not see a drive appear I looked in drive management and it does not appear there either when I remove it I hear the disconnect sound is just a dead USB and forget it or is there something else I can do? Thanks

Try it on another computer?
