Please help how to replace the driver to use 3key Synaptics touchpad correctly.

Please share what Hardware ID should I edit in the SynPD.inf

The original clunkpad is LEN0042

Which 3key touchpad will you be using?
If from X250, check the X240 clunkpad sticky.
If from T450, check the T440 clunkpad sticky.

None of them. That is my problem. I have read all those topics but none of them are ok.

LEN0042 is the Original Clunkpad hardware ID which is not identical with any X240,X250,T440,T450
Because X240 is LEN0035
I thought it was same as X240 but not. I have bought 3key touchpad from Aliexpress (Synaptics version) I have installed and working with the original driver but the 3 top key not working. Device manager shown LEN0042 for the 3key touchpad also.

So I have no idea how to edit the SynPD.inf

Please help!

I would assume you'd be able to install a Track pad from a Yoga 260 or 460?
I remember having a T431s & the trackpad swap had driver issues, didn't want "correctly" two finger scroll or middle scroll in windows. Despite me installing every driver for the T450...
Ended up installing Linux Mint or LXLE because that just worked.

Yoga 260 and 460 touchpads are bigger than S1

So you can use X250 or Yoga 12 touchpads only. But X250 is different Hardware ID
I need the correct Yoga 12 Hardware ID to solve this I think

I installed an X250 touchpad on my S1 Yoga. IIRC I made the same driver modifications as for X240 to X250 and everything worked fine. FWIW the machine runs Windows 7.

Which Windows version are you using, W7 or W10?
You say: LEN0042 is the Original Clunkpad hardware ID.
You also say: Device manager shown LEN0042 for the 3key touchpad also.
To be honest, I find it hard to believe that both are the same.
Are you sure the 3key touchpad is genuine Synaptics and not a Chinese knock0ff?
Put the old clunkpad back in and check the Hardware ID again.
