hey, I have 2 thinkpad varients, and L412 and a little x100e.
I have been fighting windows 10 for a while now and I believe I have figured out how to get windows 10 to run stable, besides 1 issue, I have figured the others out...
so when I first installed the o.s. here are the issues I was having, which were happening on both above systems, a real annoying screen flickering, and a strange sleep/shutdown issue where the system while shutting down or going to sleep, the o.s. starts the shutdown process and completes it fine, right before the system beeps and shuts off the power and sleep leds will flash and the cpu fan will spin up full speed 3-18 flashes before it shuts off. I am still having the sleep issue, but I believe the screen flicker was from the pm drivers from Lenovo, this time I let update take care of it and no more screen flicker, for the x100e, Lenovo did not have the windows 10 drivers so went to amd, also I had a bad issue were the windows 10 drivers for amd chipset and graphics were not compatable. these drivers were the latest ones, made for windows 10. the windows 8 version from Lenovo is what you want.

Re: W10 seems to run stable now...
I have a slightly damaged T520 inbound to serve as a W10 test bed. They've been testing some of our older Dells at the office but I know in part the plan was to lease new computers for the W10 switch which is set to begin at the end of the fiscal year. Professionally I will probably have to deal with it but personally maybe W10 will be the line drawn in the sand for me.

I have reinstalled 10, and finally got it to run great. I am still fighting with the sleep and shutdown issue, and I would love some input on what is going on and how it fix it.
I made a video of the symptoms and ill post the link below, but I have great news the system is outstanding with 10, it is much faster than 7, the difference is very noticeable. Also seems as though there is better cpu management as the laptop is running a bit cooler, and battery life has at least doubled, from 3 1/2 hrs on 7, to about 7 hours on 10!
also the issue I am having, has been confirmed on 2 different thinkpad models, the L412 and the x100e single and dual core models.
