Just got a 4K external monitor, connected from the ultra dock with display connector running 4K 60Hz. But the whole mashine just gets so slow, CPU and GPU just browsing and youtube gets pretty hot and fan rund often.
Is 4K to much for the GPU/CPU should be able to run 3x 4k monitors, just one connected and the mashine gets close to unusable, is this mashine really not able to handle anything over 1080p?
What experience do you guys have with external monitors and the T25/470, maybe 1080p is maximum or 1440p maybe?

Re: Running 4K external monitor too much
3x 4K monitors?!? My machine bogs down during heavy load on 2x 1200p monitors on a desktop GTX980, nonetheless a GT940M!

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Re: Running 4K external monitor too much
Returned my 4K monitor today, just too much to handle for that little intel GPU. Instead I bought a used 24" ThinkVision monitor (LT2452P) with 1920x1200 resolution, great screen overall and 16:10 aspect ratio me like
. Now it does not feel so strange switching between my 5K iMac (16:10) and my T25's external screen (16:10), so overall, I’m happy, and saved quite a few dollars.

What !? Surely the T25 can run a single 4K monitor with ease ?

Why is my P1 Gen 7 so much better on battery? Cool, quiet, fast — but not on AC.
