How to fix the wireless adapter to not use DHCP?

#1 Post by holdrege » Thu Sep 24, 2009 7:04 am

I have a X300 that has a real annoying issue that I can't seem to solve. Each time my WiFi adapter connects to an AP, it uses DHCP. Even if I set the interface to a fixed address, it resets itself to DHCP automatically when it reconnects or connects to a new AP. How can I stop this?

Note that my Ethernet adapter does NOT have this problem!

TIA!

Are you using the Windows built-in interface to manage wireless connections? Access Connections? Any other tool?

Sorry, I'm using the latest Access Connections.
