X210 lower left usb port doesn't work

It doesn't respond when USB1/2 or USB3 devices are connected to it. The pins are clean, 5V is present, nothing pops up in dmesg when i plug anything in. What could be wrong with it and how could i figure out and fix it? A BIOS setting or hardware problem?

Poked the usb data pins with a multimeter. Found a pin that is shorted to ground. Removed D10 in the hope that it's faulty, but no luck: the pin is still shorted. Couldn't find anything else i could poke before the wires go into the intermediate PCB layers.

Having the same problem with my x2100.
I have not checked the hardware side (I don't have a tester and I am not sure how to use it), but the port is not working.

Same for me.
I tweaked one of the USB setting in Aptio (believe it was something similar to XHCI) and the right side port (2.0) also stopped working.

Reset it back and is working as usual.
All the other ports on the left (RJ45, miniDP and VGA) work fine. So I think it has to do with some BIOS setting.
