P71 Fan very noisy

Hi

My P71 - running under Windows 10 Professional - is very noisy- seems to run rough or make a grinding noise
Is this a defect?
Is this just part of the laptop?
This started soon after the laptop was out of warranty.
Any ideas on what to do?

Your P71 fan should not make rough/grinding noise; it is definitely not normal.
Suggest you *do*not* run your P71 unattended until this fan issue has been sorted out, as your P71 may have potential overheating issues...

Suggest you bring your P71 in for out-of-warranty repairs...

OR you can try ordering your own fan unit x2 and replace them yourself, if you are handy.
(Think there are two fans for your P71).
