So as luck would have it, since spring I have P52 as my workhorse, which I love, except for a problem with BSOD which keeps returing.
It is always the VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE one with the nvidia driver: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... dr-failure
It seems to only occur when I have external screens connected through the hdmi and mini-DP ports on the laptop (I'm not using dock).
I have tried many nvidia drivers, lenovo ones or directly from nvidia, but the behaviour is still the same. I have even prolonged the TDR values in registry, but it did not help.
It happens randomly, probably once every week or so, I have noticed that it happens more often when running videos - GPU load, but also I have tried GPU benchmarks to really load the GPU as I don't game on it and it never happened during those.
The MS article says it could be also hardware issue, so I have tried to RMA it, but Lenovo said I need to upgrade from Windows 10 1803 first, which will only be possible next year due to company policy.
I have also posted in the lenovo forums thread about this: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-P ... -p/4222473
So my question is, does anyone seen such behaviour? And any suggestion what can I try here before I have the newer Windows 10 version?

Re: P52 P1000 BSOD problems
So I will answer my own question, lol:
In the end it was a HW issue, MB replaced under warranty about a month ago and since then, no BSODs.

Re: P52 P1000 BSOD problems
Glad to hear that your problem has been resolved!
Generally when we experience BSOD issues, we update the BIOS/UEFI to ensure that the motherboard is properly talking with all of its connected components...
just our 2 cents...

Yeah, I went through quite a few BIOSes while the problem was happening and god knows how many nvidia drivers, to no avail.
