Screen flickering P14S

Hello, having issue with screen flickering when using external screen with P14s gen 2 AMD version with 5850u. Few days ago made clean reinstall, all drivers was installed from Lenovo site, AMD driver installed through Vantage. So far tested latest driver 31.0.14037.17019 and 23.q1.1.. Both having same issue. IMHO issue is related to APU power throttle, CUZ GPU throttling constantly atleast by Hw info data. Temps are fine, never going over 85-90 for cpu, 75ish Gpu.


Any ideals for fixes?

Have you tried another external screen?
Another LCD-cable from laptop-to-monitor?
Lowered brightness?
What happens if you run a temporary Linux on it? (from e.g. a bootable USB stick)

Havent tested with different cable, but i have external drive with debian and no problems there. Will test brightness option.

Also last night after creating post wiped old drivers and replaced with amd 22.q4, felt like issue was fixed till tomorrow morning

Solved, flickering was caused by chrome graphics acceleration feature. Turned it off and seems like everything is working fine, at least for now. Will get back to this post after week or so to confirm.

Can confirm, flickering is gone after turning off chrome graphic acceleration.
