Gmail shortcuts on T14 in Firefox

I don't know if this is a Firefox, Gmail, or Thinkpad issue, but Gmail says some keyboards don't support their shortcuts so I thought I'd start here. Has anyone been able to use the "Delete Message" shortcut (CTRL + #) using a ThinkPad with Firefox?

I have a T480 with W10, Firefox and Gmail, but I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
And I have been on and around computers since 1968...

But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!
