T14 Gen 3 compatible 40-pin 4-lane display cables

Hi, new to this forum, just trying to get some support on a display replacement for my ThinkPad, as no one seems to be replying to my Reddit post, nor can I find anything useful online.

I've bought the NE140QDM-NX5 display, it's 2.2k 120Hz and has this listed for interface type

Code: Select all

eDP (4 Lanes) , eDP1.4b , HBR2 (5.4G/lane) , 40 pins Connector
. Yet I cannot seem to find much online for compatible display cables. I've already tried buying a 40-pin T14 display cable, but the pitch was 0.5mm and not 0.4mm as in the listing. I also doubt it supported the HBR2 DisplayPort version and was 4 lanes and not 2. Barely any sellers of these display cables actually list the specifications of the cable; they only give either the model number or product number. And with the model number, it's very difficult to find which cable the model number refers to. There aren't any documents published.

For additional context, here are my two previous Reddit posts, Post 1 and Post 2. Let me know if you have any suggestions, as I'm quite certain this display will work with my laptop, but only if I have the proper display cable.

In Post 1 someone mentioned 5C11C12648, which is a WQHD cable compatible with T14 Gen 3 models 21AH, 21AJ, 21CF and 21CG.
Available at Lenovo, enter it here as Part Number: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/parts-lookup
No idea if that cable works with your new WQXGA.

Happen to know the specifications of that cable, such as the lane count, pin pitch or DisplayPort transmission mode?
