Most, if not all, Linux OSes include a working Brightness Control.
E.g. Ubuntu has this one: https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-h ... tness.html
I have an X240 with designated Fn/F5 (up) and Fn/F6 (down) keys.
The keys work under Ubuntu (and other Linux versions), but they do NOT work under W7, no matter WHAT I do.
I have wasted several days, using every trick in the book and whatever programs I could find.
But W7 refuses, even with Registry EDID-overrides.
There is a program PangoBright, but I'm not sure that it does what I want,
or that it functions exactly like a Linux (or Lenovo OSD) Brightness Control.
Is it possible to port/convert/adapt the Ubuntu Brightness Control (or similar) to work in Windows 7?
Has anybody done so already?
