Modem-on-hold in a 600X?

Hi, I have a quick question ...
does the (original) winmodem in the 600X support V.92? I'd really like to get modem-on-hold running because I am still on dialup.

My driver is 8.22, which is V.92 compatible, but I understand that 8.22 will work on an old winmodem, just not include the V.92 features.

If im correct I don't beleive v.92 came out til after the 600 series was manufactured.
