seires of beeps and nothing happens?
well now that I am in the right spot!I have a t30 giving me a seires of beeps:one, three,three,one- when first turned on, never boots, stays blank.ffan runs.tried taking the memmory in and out and swapping around, tried with no memmory.the only change i got was no beeps when I moved the stick to the back slot-also tried a diffrent stick of 256 that I had. any ideas?any where to find a glossry of beep codes?kind of got the feeling going towards a bad MB but hoping!thanks in advance!

Saw you posts in the other Forum.
Beeping 1-3-3-1 means there is no (or bad) RAM in your laptop.
If the fan is running, your CPU at least is still OK.
Borrow another (known good) 200-pin Sodimm PC2100 or PC2700, any RAM size, and see if that works in either slot.
If not, you'll most likely need another mobo.

Get some liquid soldering flux, a jewelers loupe, and a 40w very fine tipped soldering iron. There are 200 joints per slot to resolder....Read this -
