T20 external monitor resolution

#1 Post by tjm215 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 12:50 pm

I recently connected an external monitor to my T20. By pressing Fn F7, I can toggle through the LCD display, external monitor or both. However, when both displays are active, the external monitor drops to 800 x 600 while the LCD stays at 1024 x 768. This means that only a portion of the image is displayed on the external monitor, and it shifts side to side and top to bottom as the mouse moves on the screen. If only one device is selected, the higher resolution is displayed. I would like the image to be the same on both monitors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you installed the proper T20 video drivers and Presentation Director?
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

I agree with RBS. I have a T21 (same system board as your T20) and use an external flat panel every day. If I toggle between the two, I get the exact same screen image on both.
