Wifi dosn't work after waking up. X60 + Ubuntu

#1 Post by delingren » Mon Nov 09, 2015 10:57 pm

Sometimes, wifi won't be able to reconnect after waking up from sleep. I remember having similar issues with Windows too. I searched and found this post: http://justaddwater.dk/2007/07/25/lenov ... r-standby/. It suggest turning off "Deep Smart Power Down" in Windows. Does anyone know what's the equivalent in Linux? Thanks.

You may try to use Powertop package to adjust power-saving settings for your wireless card.

Powertop, in the rightmost section/tab,

Code: Select all

~$ iwconfig
or

Code: Select all

~$ ifconfig
(hopefully) shows you the names of your network adapters.
Take the name of your wifi device and put it in inplace of 'wlan4' in the following command:

The command you want (may be)

Code: Select all

iw dev wlan4 set power_save off
T420 i7 3612QM seabios; T420 i7 3630QM; T400 Q9100 seabios; T61 P9600; T60 libreboot; x62; x60s libreboot, led; x24 xiphmont led
