Hello guys!
I have a new X1 Carbon (Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (14", Full HD, Intel Core 8eGen i5-8250U, 8Go), bought 2 months ago.
It's the second time in 2 months that i can't charge until 100% the battery. It stoped from itself close to 79 or 80%
First time i hade this issue, i let the computer running until battery was 0%, and i recharged ihm again. result: charged until 90%. Second time let ihm running until 0% battery, recharged ihm again, and this time 100%, feel great again!
But two weeks after that, i'have the same issue. I can't charge the laptop until 100%, only 79 or 80%...
What should i do? I almost know it's not an issue with the batery, i'm almost sure it's software issue...
Should i send the lapotop back to lenovo? What do you think?
Thanks a lot in advance for your tips!
Best regards,

Welcome to the forum.
Is there a green battery icon on the taskbar? Click on it and see if you have something about charge thresholds there.

Re: Not charging until 100%
You can control charging threshold with Lenovo Vantage application (downloadable from Microsoft Store) in which you can decide what will be the stop-charging point. I don't know how much mobile you need to be but in general if you can afford not charging your battery to 100% then you may opt to stay at current 80% (or 90%) of maximum charge, your battery should last longer in the long run.
