When it comes to cellular/smart phones, how do you view them?
Personally I am not a heavy phone user at all. I only use mine for a little bit of texting, e-mails, some apps like facebook, youtube, flashlight app, listening to music which I have loaded on it, or via Spotify, and only rarely a bit of actual voice calling. I would say my phone sees the most use as a portable music player, certainly far more than anything else.
My current phone is an iPhone SE (not the newly announced one, the old one) and before that I had an iPhone 5, and I only upgraded to the SE because my 5 began to have some issues, and I could get the SE for $0 on a 2 year contract, which has now been over for a while anyways. However for my light use, it suits me very well, and I am not going to upgrade until it gets legitimately obsolete or it starts having issues.
I for one, do not feel the need to always buy the latest phone, let alone spend $1000 or so on an iPhone 10 or 11 or whatever they are up to now. I'd much rather spend that $1000 on some computer related things.
I essentially view my phone as a tool, a tool which works and does thus far not need replacing or "fixing".

Phones & You?
Re: Phones & You?
If I didn't need a means of communication with my job and family I wouldn't even own one.
