T510 upgrade internal wireless LAN card? (802.11n to AC)

My T510 has Intel Centrino N internal wireless LAN card and I want to upgrade it to something faster like AC as I have fast 500mb/s WiFi at home. Does anyone know the "compatible" Lenovo part number for this upgrade? Where can I find the BIOS with the updated "whitelist" so it doesn't boot up in error?

Thanks!

P.S. Or should I just do it externally with an wireless AC dongle over the USB 2.0 port and call it a day?

THAT is a very good question, sadly MY knowledge on this subject is so far out of date i have no answer BUT one of the regulars WILL i expect..

Huh, I wasn't aware of how little there was for the T510/xx10 generation regarding whitelists. In terms of using whitelist approved cards, no. You are probably out of luck, and the best you can get is a Centrino Advanced-N 6200, which isn't AC as far as I am aware. USB might be the best option without getting too heavy into stuff like Coreboot, sorry!
Current Daily: Elitebook 8470p
Plan to move back to a ThinkPad soon, likely T420.
