T61 (large version) power button stuck

Hi after sitting for months this Thinkpad when plugging it in basically turned on immediately then posts and dies, i unplugged things and i found that unplugging the keyboard it stays on, the power button itself is not stuck as it presses normallybut the contacts appear to be
Is it fixable or is it not related to the keyboard? I've thinking about putting it in the dishwasher to see if anything changes

The small switch under the button may have fractured and is shorting out. It's probably best to just source a new keyboard, but if you feel inclined to you may be able to try to disassemble and replace the switch (if you can find a suitable replacement that will fit).

No idea how i could replace it so can I go sure with a used kb?

That's what I would do. They are inexpensive enough. All T60/T61 keyboards are interchangeable. T400/T500 work as well but are a little flimsier, which some might notice.
