The chassis of a non-Tablet X220/X230 is different from the Tablet version--their motherboards are different and incompatible.

I doubt that a regular X230 system board can connect with the X230T's touch panel.

From a monetary and time perspective, you're probably better off just selling your X230 and buying a X230T if that's what you want.
