Just bought a T480s, makes a very noticeable noise I can't identify (not talking about the fan)

I've heard of coil whine but this noise sounds kind of scratchy and erratic (not like a dying HDD, it has an SSD). Is this sound in fact normal for this model or thinkpads in general? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

How do you know it's not the fan? The only source of noise could be the fan, stop it and laptop would be dead silent. In fact the noise of your audio sounds exactly like the fan, and often it is exactly scratchy and erratic. So a safe bet it is the fan alright, you have to replace it or fix it.
