New P16v arrived broken :(

You would think Lenovo would do at least a cursory check of CTO units. My son spent his summer job savings on a new laptop for college next year only to have it arrive today with the touchpad and left mouse button DOA. Even though you can see they are enabled in the BIOS, they don't work there. I'm hoping they will do an exchange even though it is CTO.

Edit to add: took me 75 minutes (mostly on hold) but they apparently will exchange so that is great if next one works like it should. I did discover the left mouse button actually works but it must be pressed very firmly.

that is so sad that you got a dud unit. being a brand new model I am sure they will make it right with at minimum a replacement.
