Can't seem to get Autorun working right

#1 Post by DrGrafix » Tue Jul 27, 2010 11:31 am

Did a fresh install of XP a few days ago, and thanks to HarryC I got the right driver for the wifi card. So that's working fine. I am trying to install a CD that came with a new AR XSight Touch programable TV remote. One of the requirements to install the program is that you have XP with SP3 installed (done), and also Net Framework 3.5 (done).

When I insert the disk, instead of getting a splash/install screen I get explorer type widow listing files on the CD. I tried the MS repair utility, but it says it doesn't recognize the drive. I did install this on my desktop, but the TV I want to setup is upstairs and it makes more sense to use the ThinkPad rather than move a desktop and monitor LOL!

you can also look for INSTALL.EXE or SETUP.EXE or similar on that CD/DVD and double-click that to get it going.

But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!
