Die Hard OS/2
Re: True 32bit PC-Card support for OS/2 & ThinkPad !
[quote="Batuta"]The German company ASPsoft provides 32bit CardBus drivers for OS/2.
Indeed their drivers are fully compliant up to standard 7.0 (IBM's only up to 2.0/5.0) and they support a wide range of chip sets - including the most recent ThinkPad CardBus chipsets - it comes with full documentation (English!), they offer direct sale over the Internet and theirs is a single code driver (-> SNAP methodology).
But best of best, their driver has automatic translation support for the 16bit calls of existing PCMCIA drivers to the 32bit of the CardBus standard.
So as long as you have a 16bit PCMCIA driver and all that's changed is that you have the CardBus version of that card now (internal card chip set and/or BIOS is/are the same) you should be in business.
I should soon enough find out, as I bought their driver, received it the same day via e-mail and now I'll try it out with my HaSoTec Video Capture card./quote]
How about a review article for the VOICE Newsletter or OS/2eZine?

Well I'd be interested, even though my T42p works fine with the PCMCIA drivers in eCS 1.2. I've always wondered about the ApSoft driver, but was never curious enough to pay to try it out.Batuta wrote: I doubt anyone would care that much about (my) elaborations on this topic.
But I'll be happy to report back in here once I get done with installing the drivers (will take at least a week as my T42p has to be shipped in for repairs on Monday).
