Windows 98 Supplement Files

Notice:
-------
If you used the Product Recovery CD-ROM shipped with your ThinkPad to
restore the Windows 98 preload environment, you do not need this
package. This package is required when you install Windows 98 without
the Product Recovery CD-ROM.

What This Package Does
-----------------------

This package contains:
	- IBM LCD Panel Color Profile support
	- Hibernation Registry patch

This release supports the following systems:

   - ThinkPad R31

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
[LCD Color Profile] 
 1. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 2. Right-click on the desktop and select Properties from the pop-up menu
 3. Select Settings.
 4. Click Advanced.
 5. Select Monitor then click Change.
 6. Click Have Disk.
 7. Specify the directory where ibmtplcd.inf and ibmtplcd.icm files
    exist.
 8. Select ibmtplcd.inf and then click OK button.
 9. Click OK.
10. Select the appropriate LCD panel from the list that corresponds to the LCD 
      on the ThinkPad sysem.
11. Click OK.
12. Click Apply.
13. Select Color Management tab to make sure IBMTPLCD file is
    loaded.

[Hibernation Registry patch]
NOTE: Make sure you have already installed the Intel Chipset Software Installation 
Utility and restarted the ThinkPad system before you run GARTDel2.exe.

 1. Start Windows 98.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W98\SUPP\GARTDel2.EXE in the Open box and
    click OK.
 5. Restart the system.
