What this package does
======================
This package installs an updated version of the Multimedia Center for Think
Offerings software that comes preinstalled in your system.

This update requires approximately 560MB of space on your hard drive.

Multimedia Center for Think Offerings is only provided for Lenovo systems that
have included CD or DVD writers.


Additional Software
===================
Included in the extracted package is the "Sonic Icons for Lenovo" kit that will
populate the Sonic software with the icons for other preloaded applications.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.


Downloading the package
=======================
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.


Installing the package
======================
1. Uninstall any previous version of Multimedia Center for Think Offerings.
2. Click Start, then click Start Search.
3. Type 1v29ez00lmc-c.exe in the search field, then click Search Everywhere.
   This will locate the file you just downloaded.
4. Double-click the 1v29ez00lmc-c.exe icon. You may see a dialog stating "A
   program needs your permission to continue". If you see this dialog, click
   Continue.
5. Follow all onscreen prompts and reboot your system when done.


Extraction of install files
---------------------------
Bare install files can be extracted from the package-for-the-web
wrapper by using the following command:

1v29ez00lmc-c.exe -ex

The default extraction directory is C:\swtools\apps\1v29ez00lmc-c.


Silent installation
-------------------
To install this package silently use the following command:

1v29ez00lmc-c.exe -s -a -s

Please contact your Lenovo technical support personnel for 
instructions on use in image or network distribution.


Application Notes
=================
- This update will only install on Lenovo and IBM Think systems
- This update requires that a CD Writer be installed
- Previous versions of Multimedia Center for Think Offerings must be removed to
  use this application
- This software is incompatible with Blu-ray and HD-DVD drives. Do not attempt
  to use Drag2Disc if a blu-ray drive is installed!
- This software does not support Lenovo 3000 or IdeaPad systems

Sonic Icons for Lenovo
======================
Included in the files that are extracted is the 'Sonic Icons for Lenovo.msi'
kit.  This kit adds the WinDVD, Media Player, and Picasa links to a Multimedia
Center 9.05 UI.  This kit is optional. This kit is not compatible with
previous versions 2.2 or 2.4 of the Multimedia Center for Think Offerings.

Before installing Sonic Icons for Lenovo, uninstall any previous versions
of Sonic Icons for Lenovo in Windows Add/Remove programs.

To install Sonic Icons for Lenovo, execute the MSI file.
