How much is my T23 SXGA worth?
How much is my T23 SXGA worth?
My new job has provided me with a T43, so it's time to move on from my T23. What's it worth?
Specs:
1.13 Ghz
512 MB (1 DIMM)
30GB Hard Drive
DVD-ROM
SXGA+ Screen
16MB Video RAM
Excellent battery condition (< 40 cycles)
Also, if I add some accessories, what are they worth?
Ultrabay Battery
D-Link DWL-G650
Port Replicator
Floppy Drive
USB 2.0 Card

Very nice Thinkpad.
The whole kit and caboodle is worth maybe $350. It's a nice unit, but it's got nothing special going for it, e.g. 7K60 HD, MAX RAM, Multi-Burner, internal WiFi, etc.
If you can get over $300 for everything I'd grab it.
Regards,
James

It does add to the value, but the problem right now is that everyone is unloading their older Thinkpad systems, in an effort to buy a new T/X60.
Prior to January, you could have easily gotten about $400 for your system. If you ask a couple of people here that have had to sell a T23 since the T60s came out, they will tell you that the prices were much lower. For example dorronto (an excellent seller) had to pretty much disassemble and sell his T23 for parts. Orevin and Ricehero have been listing T23s in the $280-$300 range.

very true. Just a year ago I purchased my T23 for $465. I was quite suprised when a little over 6 months later it had gone down 100 or more dollars in value.
If you part out that system, i want the screen... wanna throw it in my T23

Why is my P1 Gen 7 so much better on battery? Cool, quiet, fast — but not on AC.
