Widescreen T-Series Coming in October
http://www.laptoplogic.com/news/detail.php?id=1256
I wonder if they'll use this to replace the Z-series. I'd definitely bet on discrete graphics in the smaller (14"?) widescreen T, as well as an integrated option, so at what point does it make sense to keep the Z's? If the Z61p turns into a T-series 15.4 wide 'p' model, then its not needed.
Lenovo's told me over and over how they are NOT getting rid of the Z's, but this seems like it might crowd their product portfolio.

It's too ambiguous for me to get excited about at this point in time.
I'll get excited when I get my hands on one at the next product introduction tour for partners.
For the record, I'm not a big fan of current wide-screen offerings.
Regards,
James

No, I'm excited about this as well. My guess is that the Z series will continue to exist as a multimedia oriented machine, while the T series will stay as a business machine.
I agree that there could be product confusion though.

I meant that the followup on the LaptopLogic article should have stemmed from your thread since I know you are associated with LaptopLogic.
You are a victim of circumstance I believe.
