Multi- file download link ??
Multi- file download link ??
Any body point me to the page wherte you can tick the drivers and download all the files at the same time ?
I remember seeing this page once - but cant seem to find it.
I realise that I could use the auto-software installer - but this is not really ideal.
Many thanks
BTW: Whats a sophomore member ?

Try this.
EDIT: I thought you wanted the individual drivers.

There isn't much of an important difference between the old download director and the software installer or even the newer SU2 program; as long as they work and list the delta between the image on the Thinkpad and the latest, selectively, then it is fine. Most likely, the driver matrix page is what would serve you the best in terms of instant access to the more important downloads. At all times, it is possible to simply look your model up on their support site and then download any and all pertinent software.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

I beg to differ. Just this morning I went to the driver matrix page for my T42 and found there is a new version of the EasyEject Utility (release date: 03 Oct 2006). I decided to run Software Installer to see what came up, and this new version of the EasyEject Utility was not one of the choices. Download Director gave you all the latest updates, and if you lost your connection you did not have to start the download all over again once you reestablished the connection. Software Installer seems to just give some of the updates. When my wife received her new T42 last year, I ran Software Installer to get all the updates, but not all of them showed up. I had to go to the driver matrix page and manually download the remaining ones.christopher_wolf wrote:There isn't much of an important difference between the old download director and the software installer or even the newer SU2 program <snip>
I do admit that Software Installer is easier to use, but still, it is incomplete. I tried the new ThinkVantage System Update, but I didn't really like it, so I don't have it on my ThinkPad. Whether it pulls up all the latest updates, I cannot say.
