Lenovo Business Hurt by Hackers
Lenovo Business Hurt by Hackers
Chinese hackers, apparently backed by the Chinese government, have been attacking U.K. and U.S. government websites.

"The planned purchase of 18,000 computers manufactured by Lenova in China by the [U.S.] State Department was blocked after legislators raised national security concerns, AFP reports."

it doesn't seem to make much sense to me.BillG wrote:Chinese hackers, apparently backed by the Chinese government, have been attacking U.K. and U.S. government websites.

IMHO, they are referring (quite akwardly) to their story: "US State Dept pulls Lenovo PCs"
But I still can't see what this has got to do with chinese "hackers" attacking US computers. But after Congress' US-China Economic and Security Review Commission expressed concerns that the equipment could be used for espionage - worries Wolf communicated to the US Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice - the State Department removed any Lenovo-made PCs from networks that could be used to access classified data.
