Help with T43
I just finished an install of 10.4.6 with the deadmoo image. I am having the following problems, and any help would be appreciated.
1. No Intel 2200BG support (I plan on throwing an Atheros in there)
2. Extremely slow. I cant find the AppleTPM file, it may have been removed from the image before it was uploaded, so this must be something else.... not really certain
3. No ACPI...No sleep...no battery monitor....nothing
4. Wired networking doesnt work
5. Whats the best driver for the X300?
might run into more later, but thats all I have at the moment.
T43 2669-C8U
P-M 1.86
1GB DDR2
80GB 5400
14" SXGA+
DVD/CDRW

10.4.6 deadmoo image? How did you do that? Wasn't deadmoo like 10.4.3 or 10.4.4?mfratt wrote:I just finished an install of 10.4.6 with the deadmoo image.
#1 - there is a project going on to write intel wireless drivers for mac os, but its a ways off. Get the Atheros.
#3 - (acpi / sleep hinge on you getting #5 working)
For the battery monitor / power management, go here and follow the instructions
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=14912
note: only works for a single battery.
#5 if you can decypher this, it should work for you

I could have sworn that you could set that in the bios (underclock when on battery)spikex34 wrote:I'm having all the problems you are, except that when I'm docked on the minidock its not as slow as when on battery. I think it's because of SpeedStep or something with power management with the processor.
check your bios settings, that may fix it.
