I just purchased a new Thinkpad X40, and I'm trying to find the best carrying case. I'm looking at Brenthaven cases right now due to their high durability, but I'm not sure if they will have enough compartments for the Ultrabase, etc.
What cases does everyone here use for their X31/X40 laptops?

Recommended carrying case for X40
As a self-confessed bag-a-holic, I have a number of options, but two have been home to my X40 for the past 7 weeks:
1. A LowePro Madison 1200 - they don't make them anymore, but it quite simply the best soft-sided 'briefcase' I've ever used. I did a review on epinions about it.
2. A recently-purchased STM Loop backpack - Australian company - bought specifically because it is designed to hold notebooks with 12" screens. Used to travel round the world last month (as my carry-on and everyday bag) and it was quite nice.
The LowePro is used daily back and forth to the office. Although it has a dedicated laptop compartment, the X40 fits nicely in the other section designed to hold papers.

I'm using a Brain Bag sie 5 and a ID messenger bag from Tom Bihn (www.tombihn.com) for my X40. And it's a bag I feel will keep my baby safe against the rigours of everyday life. But that exact combo I beleive would possibly not fit the X4 base as well. If you are going to carry the base with you every day I would consider the brain cell and their backpacks like Smart Alec or Brain Bag instead as they are larger than the ID.
