questions for Firefox geeks: middle click on bookmark
questions for Firefox geeks: middle click on bookmark
This question is for Firefox geeks.
I used firefox from version 0.5 and now I got question that I cannot handle. The problem is: whenever I middle click a folder in the bookmark, firefox will close all tabs and open new tabs out of the bookmarks in that folder.
Is there anyway to open links in NEW tabs other than closing the current tabs first?
I tried to look for something from About:config with no luck.

I'm running FF 1.5.0.9 and have the following default options in about:config:
browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick = true
middlemouse.contentLoadURL = false
middlemouse.openNewWindow = true
middlemouse.paste = false
middlemouse.scrollbarPosition = false
(specify "middle" as the filter to view just these items)
This should open up a new tab in the current FF window (as opposed to opening up a totally new window) when you middle-click. When I middle-click a folder in the bookmark list or bar, each URL opens in each of the existing tabs first, then creates new tabs if needed. The existing tabs are NOT cleared or deleted; they are simply overwritten with the new site. I can use the "Back" arrow to return to the previous site. Note that this only occurs when opening folders; you should be able to middle-click any single bookmark and have it open in a new tab.
I've tried <ctrl> middle-click, but the tabs open/operate the same way (overwrite existing tabs first for folders, opens new tab with single URL).

Does opening a bookmark in a new tab work by doing "right-mouse/open in new tab"?
