17, 19, 20" Thinkpads
17, 19, 20" Thinkpads
Do you think Lenovo will ever make 17" and larger notebooks? I would love to have a 20" Thinkpad with WQXGA resolution.
I know they're business oriented but it'd be nice to have a Thinkpad quality notebook with a larger screen.

Re: 17, 19, 20" Thinkpads
I haven't heard about any official plan to make anything bigger than 15.4".XiP wrote:Do you think Lenovo will ever make 17" and larger notebooks?
Me too! The pixel density (150.9 DPI) would be even higher than the 15.4" QUXGA (147.0 DPI), but things should still be just big enough to be seen about 1.5 feet away. Imagine using Dell's 30" LCD in conjunction with this hypothetical 20" Thinkpad, to get a total of 8,192,000 pixels! Would be perfect for multitasking!XiP wrote:I would love to have a 20" Thinkpad with WQXGA resolution.
BTW, Dell's 20.1" "laptop" has only WSXGA+ resolution and weighs 18.30 lbs!

i agree but i would also say that there is probably a market for such a computer though i would not call it a thinkpad or even a notebook either..
the thinking would have to be outside the box (so to speak)..

I wouldn't be so extreme, more in the direction of ThinkROOFINGSLATEWhen they start to bring out 20" screens, they ought to call it a ThinkTANK.
