I'm trying to find a way to configure my SoundMAX HD Audio 1 on my MB of an M55e Lenovo pc.
I checked the MB using sandra and acknowledged that my onboard device ADI 1986 Sound Adapter is disabled.
Is there a way to enable it?
Does this adapter have anything to do with the possible configurationof my SoundMAX HD Audio device?
Take a look at our

Re: ADI 1986 Sound Adapter on M55e disabled
Likely yes, most desktop users know this fact that if the motherboard is not able to handle two sound cards at once then the system disables the onboard adapter.chermesh wrote:snip....Does this adapter have anything to do with the possible configurationof my SoundMAX HD Audio device?
The possible solution is to go to your ThinkCentre's BIOS and search for audio options like "integrated peripherals" if such an option exists then set it to enable but if it doesn't then there is nothing much you can do about the problem IMO.

Looks hopeless
Hi ryengineer,
I checked my BIOS setup and found no clue to an "integrated peripherals" setup. Looks like I'm looking for a solution, but such doesn't exist on my system.
Thanks anyhow.
