I have two 8183-43U units. P-4 3 GHz HT processors, a Gig of RAM, etc., basic, running XP Pro, all updates. Because I was going to sell one of them I ran the restore partition and put it back to day one. Updated everything via the IBM Update Connector and XP, and it works perfectly. With the one exception, when I power it off the resolution goes back to default. It's connected to a 19" wide screen LCD monitor with a native of 1440 X 900. That resolution is listed and supported and works perfectly. Until I power off and power up, then it's back to default. The video is the on board Intel 82865G Graphics Controller using the default 96 Meg of on board video RAM.
Like I say, the settings work until I power off and then on. BTW, I"ve decided to keep it.
Any thoughts?
Wayne

Never mind. . .
Assuming that the IBM update connector would find the latest drivers, wrong. An updated version was available. Installed it. Done.
