USB Numeric keypad question

#1 Post by chrisp9au » Wed Jun 09, 2010 9:51 pm

I have a need to enter a fair amount of numeric data in Excel spreadsheets so i have acquired a USB numeric keypad.

I find that I still need to enable numlock (Shift+Numlk) in order to use it, which cause problems when the data I need to enter includes
symbols on my T30 Thinkpad numeric keys.

Is there any way past this problem?

Thanks :thumbs-UP:
Chris

Welcome to the forum.
Use a full keyboard, incl. a num pad.
There's a (small round) keyboard connector on the back of the laptop.

You could try picking up a cheap usb to ps2 adapter also. Then plug into the ps2 port and see what happens.
