Hi! I'm looking at upgrading to FHD on a T530. I see that the original panels were the B156HW01 V.4, which got rave reviews, but laptopscreen.com doesn't have those any more:

While I use eBay a lot, I'm a bit leery of buying an LCD there. It seems there are a lot of pitfalls. Anyone have any suggestions of either alternative panels or alternative vendors?
Also, when I change the panel, do I need a different LED control card? Or will the one I have now do?
While I'm at it, I also have a T520. Maybe a bit down the line, I'll upgrade that to HD+. Any suggestions on vendors/panels for that resolution.
Finall, I'm not sure if I'm going to like that chiclet keyboard or not. So if I don't, I'd like to move the FHD over to the T520. Can I just exchange the whole lid? Or do I have to take the panels out and switch them. Anyone know?
Thanks
/DA

You can just put a new lid if you want to, but wouldn't it be more profitable just to change screen? It surely is cheaper. Tx20 and Tx30 have exchangable panels, if a screen fits one of them, it fits both of them. At least I know it's a case with T420/T430, because I replaced my T430 screen with a T420 one. Replacing screen to a higher resolution means you also have to purchase a new monitor cable, as the one you've got supports only low resolution. Again, it was the case when I changed HD screen to HD+ one.
My T430 with GTX 560 Ti (Now with GTX 670)
T430: i5-3320m, 8 GB, SSD + HDD, 1600x900.

Re: Upgrading LCD on T520/T530.
@kony - well, that's one bit of information that I didn't have. I didn't realize that I had to replace the cable if I were to upgrade the T520/T530 screen. *And the LED control card? (Don't have an FRU for that cable, do you?)
As for moving the lid, that's just if I change the screen on the T530 and decide I don't like the chiclet keyboard. Then, I'd like to move the lid to the T520.
I'm still not clear on the choice of panels. Should I still be looking for the B156HW01, V.4? Even though they seem hard to find? Is there an alternative/alternative vendor? And regarding HD+ panels....
Thanks,
/DA
