X240: HD IPS display in FHD IPS Touch lid

Hello, as the title says I would like to fit an HD (1366x768) IPS LCD in a FHD IPS Touch lid.
The LCD cable is a 30 pin one.
Do you guys think it would be possible to "transplant" the "old" Touch controller to the replacement HD display?

Also what is the FRU/manufacturer/model # for the HD IPS LCD?

Welcome to the Forum.

You cannot remove the touch-screen from the LCD itself.
AFAIK there is also no HD Touchscreen.
For a 'regular' non-touch LCD you need a different LCD-bezel 04X5360 as well.
The HD IPS screen has FRU 04X0437.
It's an LG LP125WH2(SP)(T1) also listed as LP125WH2-SPT1
When you buy it, make sure you get the real LG and NOT some "compatible" crap.

If you don't need this small bezel screen hinge cover any longer (sits below the touchscreen), I'd be interested in it.

I've also had to order a mating lid since the FHD touch lid was incompatible with the old hinges and cannot accomodate the display.
Unfortunately I'm unable to give you the hinge cover since a friend of mine was interested in the LCD swap as well (HD to FHD in his case)
