X1 Extreme Gen 2 randomly turning on
X1 Extreme Gen 2 randomly turning on
Ok my laptop is randomly turning on.. ive updated all drivers and bios, disabled wake on lan, disabled modern connected standby and even unplugged everything from the machine... The only way ive found to get it to not turn on randomly at this point is the let the battery go flat and leave unplugged because it randomly turns on even with the lid closed and on battery power... seems to mostly happen on sleep and hibernation at night but still wakes when shutdown as well just less common.. Any other suggestions to fix this problem? I don't have any time to send the computer back to manufacture for repair as I need the laptop so I've gotta fix the issue myself

Re: X1 Extreme Gen 2 randomly turning on
Guess that's why it's called Extreme.
It does stuff no other machines do.
My very first thought is to blame Micro$haft's W10.
Run that machine on W7, W8.1 or Linux for a few days, to prove me wrong.
Big bad wolf speaking: maybe Intel VPro is actively spying on you?

Re: X1 Extreme Gen 2 randomly turning on
Your X1E2 (X1 Extreme Gen 2) occasionally waking up from shutdown?
1. Just a wild guess, perhaps your power button is half-depressed sometimes?
(ie: semi-bad power button)?
2. Is your X1E2 connected to any docking station? Try disconnecting these before Sleep/Shut-Down, to see if this problem goes away.
3. If above does not work, it sounds like a hardware error to me... you seriously need to bring it in for repairs under warranty...
