51nb x210 or x2100 Linux TLP battery threshold

hello guys,

Does anyone here know if a TLP battery threshold app will work for the X210 or new X2100 that is coming out now?

I know that the TLP battery threshold is specific to "thinkpad" laptops and since the 51nb technically is not a thinkpad motherboard, will this feature work or is there a linux package than can set battery charge limit to 80% or so?

No, there's no such feature in the 51nb EC firmware, and there's no easy way to add it as there's no sources available.

thanks for the information. yes, it seems no luck in setting maximum battery charge threshold in any of the 51nb x210 or new x2100 laptops.

i wonder what would be the best way to preserve battery useful life then..
