Hi, I'm not hoping for much, but maybe.. I've just plugged an old/shattered Wacom Intuos Pen & touch small tablet CTH-480 into my trusty Ubuntu-20.04.2-charged T520 via a USB cable and.. nothing happened. Okay I've sort of lost the stylus for this Intuos but I hoped to finger-touch it as a large external touchpad. However nothing happened. Me moving my fingers on this Intuos has no effect whatsoever.
Code: Select all
xsetwacom --list devices
Wacom Intuos PT S Pad pad id: 26 type: PAD
Wacom Intuos PT S Pen stylus id: 27 type: STYLUS
Wacom Intuos PT S Pen eraser id: 28 type: ERASER
Wacom Intuos PT S Finger touch id: 29 type: TOUCH
The lights on the Wacom come up, I think it worked under Windows recently using this very cable and despite the fact it has long lost its battery. In Settings->Wacom Tablet Ubuntu is saying "No stylus detected" which is fair - I haven't found the original stylus yet and others which I tried may be incompatible. Settings -> Wacom Tablet / Tablet / Map Buttons... does bring up map buttons screen and some of the button presses are registered. This is not of much interest to me right now... I just want a big external touchpad
I'm having all sorts of trouble with my hands from years at a PC so switching to a new input device sometimes helps.
