Hello to everyone.
First of all, forgive my English since it's not my mother tongue. I am using my trusty ThinkPad x260 as my daily driver.
My issue is that in the last couple of days I saw that the power button light indicator is off, while my laptop is working fine and boots.
Also, the red dot in the lid is not working when I plug my charger or when I close the lid (sleep mode).
I removed the battery external and internal and pressed the power button for 30 seconds, but no luck. I also removed CMOS battery but again no luck. Furthermore, emergency reset hole and setting bios to default settings didn’t work either. Rolled back to a previous bios version but again no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your time, Good day.

Thinkpad x260 indicator lights not working.
Re: Thinkpad x260 indicator lights not working.
Welcome to the forum.
It sounds like there may be a burnt fuse on the path that is feeding the indicator lights. I don't know where it might be, but hopefully somebody on the forums has more knowledge of the internals of these systems.

Re: Thinkpad x260 indicator lights not working.
Thank you for the answer. I guess you're right. I also tried forcing the led light in power button goes on through linux terminal with: # echo on /proc/acpi/ibm/led but yea it's dead..
I will possibly disassemble and try to find the fuse (I guess near the power button). I will keep you updated
Thanks again.

Re: Thinkpad x260 indicator lights not working.
I checked the power button with a multimeter continuity and it works, light on when I touch the fuse.
So it's either the ribbon cable that connects the power button, the red dot in the lid and the camera at the same time or a fuse in the motherboard.
I will buy a new cable and replace. I will let you know. Thanks for your help.
