T21-T23 14.1" SXGA+ 1400x1050 upgrade

Hi Everyone

I note that the T21-23 support 14.1" SXGA+ 1400x1050 using either Hitachi TX36D97VC1CAA or LG-Philips LP141E2.

Does anyone have a 30 pin SXGA ribbon for the T2x series (which, I believe is interchangable with the SXGA cable from the T4x series).

For the T2x the ribbon part number is 27L0590
For the T4x the ribbon part number is 91P6787

There is no way in hell the ribbon cable itself is interchangeable with T4x series - it's a totally different connector on the motherboard end!
BUT, theoretically speaking the screen itself for 14.1" SXGA+ is interchangable, and in fact electrically you can even use a T6x panel here. Not sure about connector location though.
And yeah you are gonna need a new cable for sure for the LCD upgrade, the T2x XGA panels use the old 20pin connector used on older devices like even the ThinkPad 390X 14.1, whereas the SXGA+ panels use the newer 30pin connector used on T4x and T6x.

Very late to the party, but I have a dead T21 with a 1400x1050 screen that I could part out if you're interested.
