Hello,
I finally took the leap towards Windows 10. I am happy with a fresh install, getting rid of 100% CPU slowering problems on Win 7.
the downside is that Lenovo did not release specific W530 Win 10 drivers and I had difficulties with a few devices.
Camera is solved, so as mediacard driver, but I still struggle with Bluetooth, which was on Win 7 lousy to connect, but fine when connected.
I finally found kind of official Lenovo/Broadcom BT driver. But after 2 "successful installation" reported, the bluetooth sound stays terrible (stuttering) - when it doesn't fail to maintain more than one second.
I tried a few advices on the web (switch from BT handsfree sound output to BT headphone output, which I didn't find, for instance).
I reinstalled the intel management engine that had some error, but it did not solve the problem.
I forgot to say that the sound is ok when played through the pc external speakers.
Anybody encountered this problem and could advice some solution ? it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Cheers,

W530 Bluetooth sound broken after switching to windows 10
Re: W530 Bluetooth sound broken after switching to windows 10
I don't think there is anything wrong with the machine itself. It's simply that those tiny modules Lenovo used back then simply suck.
Range is small because antennas are small and are surrounded by the magnesium skeleton. That's why they switched to combo Mini PCIe cards that do both WIFI (in PCI express mode) and Bluetooth (in USB mode). Mini PCIe slots have both connections. The antennas for such modules are the same as for WIFI, and usually installed inside the lid, so range is going to be better.
If you're willing to tinker with the machine, install 1vyrain to get rid of the whitelists and install a newer WIFI card. The last model officially offered by intel in Mini PCIe format is the 7260, but you can get an even newer model off Aliexpress. It has to be half-size. Once you have the new card in, remove the original module. You should be able to get both WIFI and Bluetooth with the new card and you'll have better range (actually, signal quality).
You have to keep your expectations in check, though. I have an extra pair of speakers next to the Kitchen, so I can listen to music when I'm doing something there. Even at 3-4 meters, the signal quality from my X1Y8 is not that great.

Re: W530 Bluetooth sound broken after switching to windows 10
I did what milkemex described on my w530 but i had to disable per port power control (or something like that, forgot what exactly it's called but you can find it under south bridge > usb in ivyrain bios) to get bluetooth working. After that install the drivers and you're good to go. The difference is night and day, it really is worth it.
